Humanitarian donations from the Cambodian Pink Cross had been handed over to 400 poor households from two of Battambang’s districts.
Provincial Governor and Chairman of Battambang Pink Cross Department Committee, Sok Lou, led a group of Pink Cross personnel on the morning of March 17 to distribute the donations to the weak, aged, widows, and the disables, in addition to 400 households in Koas Kralor and Maung Russey districts.
Every household obtained donations of 25 kgs of rice, noodles and different foodstuffs.
Governor Lou introduced a message from Prime Minister Hun Sen and First Woman Bun Rany Hun Sen to the individuals and reminded that the Head of the Cambodian Authorities and his spouse pays consideration to the struggling of the individuals.
The Governor urged the individuals to report back to the authorities every time they witness unlawful actions corresponding to drug trafficking, distribution and use locally. He reminded them that drug crimes pose a risk to the protection of the group.
The Governor additionally urged the individuals to proceed to implement the Covid-19 prevention measures and get vaccinated to forestall the unfold of the virus.
