After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, a celebration to honor veterans who served through the Vietnam period is on once more in Forest Lake.
The Vietnam Veterans Day celebration shall be at 2 p.m. March 27 at American Legion Submit No. 225. This yr’s theme is “Wounded in Battle.”
Invoice Strusinski, a fight medic through the conflict and the writer of “Care Beneath Fireplace,” would be the featured speaker. He additionally will lead a panel that features fight nurses Valerie Buchan and Mary Lu Brunner and three veterans who have been wounded through the conflict and medevacked out of Vietnam, Tim Sather, Edwin Ohmann and Ben Morales.
