The Indian Air Pressure on Monday unveiled a brand new initiative with the Indian Oil Company Ltd beneath which its convoys shall be to refuel at gas stations of the state-run vitality main. The defence ministry mentioned a ‘Fleet Card – Gasoline on Transfer’ has been rolled out to facilitate the refuelling of convoys belonging to the IAF.

Below the present system, the IAF procures gas from varied companies and distributes it inside the Air Pressure institutions. The IAF convoys should go to Air Pressure stations for refuelling.

With the arrival of the Fleet Playing cards, the IAF will be capable of utilise the huge community of retail gas distributors throughout the nation to refuel its autos on the transfer.

“The IAF in collaboration with Indian Oil Company Restricted (IOCL) has taken a leap ahead in gas provide chain administration by introducing a ‘Fleet Card – Gasoline on Transfer’ for its assorted fleet of autos,” the defence ministry mentioned in an announcement.

It mentioned this “revolutionary” initiative taken by the Indian Air Pressure gives a “paradigm shift” to the logistics administration of gas by the power.

“The supply of Fleet Card will allow the convoy to refuel at any IOCL gas station, thus rising the tempo of motion and decreasing the lead time for readiness at operational places throughout the nation,” the ministry mentioned.

The brand new initiative was launched by Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhari.
