Three brief movies produced by Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) college students will characterize the Sultanate within the Asia Rising 2022 organised by the Nationwide College of Singapore (NUS) Centre for the Arts.
Organised in collaboration with the ASEAN College Community on Tradition and the Arts (AUN-CA), the movie competition is holding on-line screenings till April 9.
This 12 months’s Asia Rising, themed ‘Gradual Connection’, options 14 pupil brief movies from 5 universities in Brunei, the Philippines, and Singapore.
The three brief movies – Not Toaster, Crescendo and Sonder – have been produced by Design and Inventive Industries (DCI) college students of the College of Arts and Social Sciences, UBD.
Sonder turned the primary animated brief movie made by DCI college students to be screened in a regional movie competition. Not Toaster not too long ago received the Greatest Brief Movie Award (10-20 minutes class), whereas Crescendo received Halim Ashari the Greatest Director Award, within the 4th Prism UBD Brief Movie Competition in December 2021.

In April 2021, Bunga, Suara, and Anak Ayah represented UBD within the inaugural Asia Rising 2021, which featured 10 pupil movies from UBD, De La Salle College, and NUS.
