Vietnam’s southern provinces are projected to reap an enormous quantity of fruit within the coming second quarter. By which eight main fruits produce an estimated 1.2 million tons.
Mr. Le Thanh Tung, Deputy Director of the Division of Crop Manufacturing underneath the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Improvement, estimated that the output of eight main fruits within the second quarter (Q2) is 1.2 million tons, together with dragon fruit, banana, mango, jackfruit, pomelo, orange, pineapple and durian.
In Q2, banana harvests totaled 277.200 tons, with manufacturing concentrated within the provinces of Dong Nai, Tra Vinh, and Soc Trang. Following that’s mango, which produces 147,000 tons and is grown principally in three Mekong Delta provinces: An Giang, Dong Thap, and Tien Giang. Dragon fruit is the third most-produced fruit within the area, with 144.600 tons in Lengthy An and Tien Giang.
