A Passaic County man has filed go well with towards a Dunkin’ retailer in Totowa, saying the espresso they have been served was too sizzling and prompted severe burns when it spilled into the husband’s lap.
Evan Arlington, 39, and his spouse, Stephanie Arlington-Macio, 37, say in courtroom papers they purchased two cups of espresso and an iced espresso on Aug. 25, 2021, from the shop within the 400 block of Minnisink Highway in Totowa.
“Evan Arlington suffered second and third-degree burns when the espresso fell into his lap,” states the lawsuit, filed April 4 in Superior Courtroom of Passaic County.
The lawsuit accuses Dunkin’ and its employees have been negligent in “the preparation, sale and repair of the espresso to plaintiff in that it was too sizzling.”
Arlington claims he was pressured to spend cash on hospital care, can’t work and is dropping revenue attributable to a everlasting harm.
