Former world primary Maria Sharapova on Tuesday used the event of her thirty fifth birthday to announce that she was pregnant together with her first little one.
The Russian five-time Grand Slam champion, who retired from the game in 2020, shared the information on Instagram to her 4.2 million followers.
“Treasured beginnings!!!,” she wrote alongside a photograph of her standing on a seaside and smiling.
“Consuming birthday cake for 2 has at all times been my specialty.”
In December, Sharapova and British businessman Alexander Gilkes revealed that they have been engaged.
