An enormous hearth broke out in Tuas within the late afternoon of Apr. 23, with an explosion heard and thick smoke noticed.
The Singapore Civil Defence Power (SCDF) is at the moment on the scene conducting firefighting operations.
SCDF placing out flames
The SCDF stated on Fb that it was alerted to a fireplace at 31 Benoi Lane at about 4.45pm.
SCDF firefighters deployed three foam jets and two water jets to struggle the large hearth.
An organization referred to as OCS, which provides “atmosphere associated subsystem related to oil and fuel”, occupies the constructing at 31 Benoi Lane.
Residents heard explosion
Brian Low, who lives at Jurong West Road 61, stated that he noticed an enormous cloud of smoke from his bed room window at about 5.10pm.
Low, who lives on the eleventh flooring, stated he may see smoke rising behind Pioneer Level.
At about 6pm, Low heard a “loud bang” coming from the scene.
Low then went as much as the sixteenth flooring to get a greater look and will see the smoke coming from a cluster of buildings.
He added that it was within the course of Jurong Island from his house.
