Kabul [Afghanistan], Might 1 (ANI): UN Secretary-Common Antonio Guterres has condemned the assault on the Khalifa Sahib mosque in Kabul that reportedly killed no less than 10 folks.
“The Secretary-Common strongly condemns yesterday’s lethal assault on the Khalifa Sahib Mosque in western Kabul throughout Friday prayers. He extends his deepest condolences to the households of the victims and needs a swift restoration to these injured,” Deputy Spokesperson for the Secretary-Common Farhan Haq stated in a press release on Saturday.
“Assaults in opposition to civilians and civilian objects, together with mosques, are strictly prohibited beneath worldwide humanitarian regulation,” he added.
Friday’s explosion broken the mosque’s roof, which caved in on worshippers.
UN Deputy Particular Consultant of the Secretary-Common and Humanitarian Coordinator for Afghanistan Ramiz Alakbarov stated that the blast reportedly resulted within the loss of life of no less than 10 folks, and injured as much as fifteen.
