LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Wealthy Strike got here charging up the rail to overhaul the leaders within the closing strides for a surprising 80-1 upset within the Kentucky Derby.

Jockey Sonny Leon guided Wealthy Strike from nicely again within the 20-horse area to run by 4-1 favourite Epicenter and Zandon on Saturday at Churchill Downs.

Wealthy Strike wasn’t even within the Derby area till Friday when Ethereal Highway was scratched, making room for the colt skilled by Eric Reed. Each Leon and Reed had been of their first Derby.
