Palestinians in Gaza participated in a rally in solidarity with Palestinian hunger-striking prisoner Khalil Awawdeh, who was transferred to a hospital following a critical deterioration of his well being.
Awawdeh, a 40-year-old father of 4, has been on a starvation strike for 67 days now, in protest of his unlawful administrative detention with out cost or trial.
Awawdeh, from the city of Idhna, close to Hebron (Al-Khalil), was detained on December 27, 2021. He suffers from complications, joint ache, extreme fatigue, arrhythmia, and frequent vomiting along with vital lack of weight, as he has misplaced over 20 kilos.
“Administrative detention is Israel’s go-to authorized continuing when it merely desires to mute the voices of Palestinian political activists, however lacks any concrete proof that may be offered in an open, navy courtroom,” wrote Palestinian journalist and editor of The Palestine Chronicle, Ramzy Baroud.
