A whole bunch of Palestinians, together with journalists and intellectuals, have signed a petition calling on Al Jazeera to cease internet hosting Israeli officers on the channel after veteran correspondent Shireen Abu Akleh was killed by Israeli troops, The New Arab reported.

The letter was supported by a number of journalists working for Al Jazeera, together with Ahmad Mansour (Egypt), Khadija Benguenna (Algeria) and Ghada Oueiss (Lebanon).
“And I add my voice at the moment. There isn’t any level in interviewing a mendacity felony,” Oueiss wrote on Twitter after sharing the decision to boycott.
Abu Akleh, a US-Palestinian twin nationwide, had been reporting for Al Jazeera on an Israeli safety raid in Jenin metropolis whereas sporting a jacket that clearly recognized her as ‘press’, when she was shot by an Israeli sniper.

She was laid to relaxation in Jerusalem on Friday amid brutal Israeli police violence at her funeral. The police attacked her funeral procession in occupied East Jerusalem, assaulted mourners and fired teargas and rubber-coated bullets, injuring a minimum of fourteen individuals.
