New Delhi: Practically 300 endangered turtles have been launched into the Chambal river in Etawah on the eve of World Turtle Day, officers mentioned on Sunday. In the course of the occasion, about 300 hatchlings of red-crowned roofed turtle (Batagur Kachuga) and three-striped roofed turtle (Batagur dhongoka) have been launched into the river on Sunday, they mentioned.
The programme was organized collectively by the Turtle Survival Alliance (TSA), a world turtle conservation group, and main attire firm Turtle Restricted.
