Iraq has accredited tasks to construct three free zones close to key airports with an emphasis on the aviation business; an official was quoted on Friday as saying.
The Basic Free Zones Authority (GFZA) will oversee the development of the zones subsequent to the worldwide airports in Baghdad, the Southern port of Basra and Najaf in South-Central Iraq, GFZA’s Director Monzer Assad advised the official Iraq Information Company.
He mentioned the Baghdad Airport zone venture could be provided to buyers and could be devoted to “air cargo, aviation and floor help providers, and plane upkeep.”
“The cupboard has accredited this venture together with different tasks to construct free zones close to Basra and Najaf airports..the Basra free zone will likely be in-built Shalamija space simply close to the border with Iran,” he mentioned.
Assad mentioned a fourth free zone is also constructed on the joint financial zone that will likely be constructed on the border with Jordan.
