Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will inaugurate a mega exhibition on the theme of contribution of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) in Gandhinagar on Thursday as a part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations, officers mentioned.
The exhibition titled ‘Nation Constructing and CPSEs’ shall be inaugurated at Mahatma Mandir Conference Centre, they mentioned on Wednesday.
The exhibition will see participation of 75 central authorities corporations, reminiscent of Coal India, GAIL (India), NTPC, Metal Authority of India Ltd and Indian Oil Company Ltd, amongst others.
“Sitharaman will inaugurate the exhibition, which may have stalls of those 74 CPSEs, on June 9. The exhibition shall be open for public viewing from June 10 to 12, in order that they perceive the position and contribution of those entities in making India self-reliant in lots of sectors,” mentioned Sanjay Kumar Jain, Joint Secretary, Division of Public Enterprises underneath the Ministry of Finance.

“On June 10 and 11, workshops on varied points, reminiscent of CSR (company social accountability) with particular concentrate on aspirational districts, shall be held on the venue. Our enterprises spend almost Rs 5,000 crore on CSR yearly. Workshops may even be held on MoU system for the efficiency analysis of CPSEs and procurement from Micro and Small Enterprises, he added.
