MANILA, Philippines—Naturalized heart Ange Kouame, Dwight Ramos and Kiefer Ravena are set to guide Gilas Pilipinas in its tune-up video games towards South Korea.
The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas on Sunday introduced the Philipines’ 12-man lineup for the exhibition video games slated on June 17 and 18 at Anyang Gymnasium in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.
Becoming a member of the three are College of the Philippines ace Carl Tamayo, Ateneo’s Dave Ildefonso, SJ Belangel and Geo Chiu, Far Jap College guard RJ Abarrientos, Francis Lopez and Will Navarro.
Newcomers Rhenz Abando, the reigning NCAA MVP from Letran, and Kevin Quiambao additionally make up the squad.
The video games are a part of Gilas’ buildup for the upcoming third window of the Fiba World Cup Asian Qualifiers.
The final time the Philippines and South Korea met was again in June 2021 on the Fiba Asia Cup qualifiers the place the Nationals beat their rivals twice to brush the event.
