June 13 (Renewables Now) – Chinese language photo voltaic know-how firm Longi will ship its Hello-MO 5 (72C) modules for the 400-MW direct present (DC) Rabigh Photo voltaic PV IPP undertaking in Saudi Arabia.
The announcement of the module provide deal was made on Friday throughout a ceremony in Riyadh attended by Longi and its companion Inexperienced Expertise Firm (GTek Photo voltaic).
Longi was awarded the provision contract by the undertaking’s EPC contractor, China Power Engineering Group Guangdong Energy Engineering Co Ltd (CEEC-GPEC).
Situated within the kingdom’s western Makkah province, the photo voltaic park has a industrial operation date (COD) set for July 2023.
Rabigh is Japanese Marubeni Corp’s (TYO:8002) first large-scale photo voltaic undertaking in Saudi Arabia. In 2021, Marubeni signed a 25-year energy buy settlement (PPA) with the Saudi Energy Procurement Firm (SPPC), ranging from the photo voltaic park’s COD.
