Abdul Hossein Rohalmini stated on July 6 that the 13 Aban Pharmacy, the largest drug distributor in Iran, presently has a scarcity of 356 pharmaceutical medication. He stated that if this development continues the nation will face a ‘extreme scarcity’ of medicines.
WATCH: It has been estimated that 95 % of the medication in Afghanistan enters the nation illegally. In line with an investigation by RFE/RL’s Radio Farda, a good portion of the prescribed drugs come from Iran and are smuggled into Afghanistan on vehicles and buses.
