Police in Nuh have arrested the person who was a day in the past booked for allegedly declaring a reward of Rs 2 crore for slicing off now-suspended BJP chief Nupur Sharma’s tongue over her remarks on Prophet Mohammad throughout a TV debate.
Accused Irshad Pradhan was charged on Thursday after a purported video of the Salaheri resident declaring the reward surfaced on social media.
“He has been arrested and we’re interrogating him. We are going to take him on police remand for questioning after producing him earlier than a courtroom on Saturday,” Varun Singla, Senior Superintendent of Police, Nuh, stated on Friday.
The video purportedly confirmed Pradhan providing the reward to a YouTuber on behalf of complete Mewat to chop off Sharma’s tongue. Rigidity had erupted within the space after the video was broadly shared on social media.
“Carry her tongue and take Rs 2 crore. Do it and take the cash proper now,” the person was heard purportedly saying within the video.
