The group of Kashmiri Pandits stood outdoors the terminal constructing of the Srinagar worldwide airport and welcomed the primary batch of 145 Haajis who reached in Srinagar within the morning on the primary return flight from the annual pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia to the Valley.
The Pandits congratulated the Haajis for finishing the pilgrimage and sought their blessings. They provided roses to the pilgrims.
The members of the Kashmiri Pandit neighborhood additionally recited naats (eulogies) to Prophet Mohammed.
A video of the gesture went viral on social media.
The video was posted on Twitter by Individuals’s Democratic Celebration spokesperson Mohit Bhan, who himself belongs to the Kashmiri Pandit neighborhood.
“Our Kashmiri Pandits welcoming Haajis at Srinagar airport immediately by singing conventional naat searching for the blessings of Prophet. That is our syncretic tradition believers of Islam are enablers of Amarnath Yatra & the followers of Shavism are messengers for unity,” Bhan wrote on Twitter.
