Algerian runner Djamel Sedjati has celebrated his silver medal within the 800 meters on the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Oregon by waving the Palestinian flag across the stadium.

After his victory, Sedjati carried the Palestinian flag in addition to the Algerian flag. He jogged across the stadium to heat applause, particularly from Arab and Algerian followers.

Sedjati gained the gold medal within the Mediterranean Video games hosted by Algeria earlier this 12 months.
