Emergency team brace for wet weather impacts in Oman

MUSCAT : Sub-committees for Emergency Administration tasked with tackling impacts of low-pressure rains in Oman have affirmed their preparedness to deal with the scenario.

The newest meteorological information point out an impending inflow of cumulonimbus (thunder rain clouds) over the coast in North Al Batinah, with probabilities of sporadic rains within the governorates of South A’Sharqiyah, Muscat, South Al Batinah and Musandam.

Thunder rains have been already reported in North A’Sharqiyah, with a persisting overcasting of northern governorates.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) urged all to train warning through the downpour, keep away from crossing flooded wadis or inundated areas and, particularly, to not danger going out to sea.
