Self-driving automotive startup Pony.ai and Sany Heavy Truck, a subsidiary of Chinese language heavy equipment maker Sany Group, are collectively growing electrical autonomous vehicles for freight supply, with plans to start mass manufacturing as early as 2024, the businesses introduced Thursday. In addition they plan to create a three way partnership and schedule small-scale supply later this 12 months, with their first robotruck prototype already being examined on public roads.
