Talking at an occasion on Friday, Pradhan mentioned the tales of gallant deeds and sacrifices of the armed forces might be included within the curriculum in session with the armed forces.
“To strengthen the sense of ‘duty in direction of the nation’ from an early age, the Training Ministry in session with the Defence Ministry will work to incorporate the valour of our troopers and India’s veergatha within the final 75 years into the varsity curriculum and our textbooks,” Pradhan mentioned, talking within the presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
On the occasion, organised by the Defence Ministry, 25 winners of the ‘Veer Gatha’ contest, which was a part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, amongst college college students had been felicitated. Veer Gatha was organised to encourage and unfold consciousness amongst kids concerning the gallant deeds and sacrifices of the Armed Forces.
The competition, held between October 21- November 20, noticed the participation of over 8.04 lakh college students who had been inspired to share inspirational tales on the lives of gallantry award winners by essays, poems, drawings and multimedia shows
Pradhan mentioned that there could be no higher celebration of Amrit Mahotsav than honouring India’s Veers. He mentioned the Veergatha Challenge is a key in direction of creating “sturdy patriotic fervor and a way of gratitude in direction of our bravehearts”.
Pradhan additionally assured that the Training Ministry will quickly develop an institutional mechanism for awarding educational credit for certificates obtained below this initiative.
