Hanoi (VNA) – Eight Vietnamese handicraft exporters are introducing their merchandise on the NY Now exhibition that’s underway in New
York, the US with the participation of about 950 companies from 35 international locations.
The merchandise included toys, items, and home items that
are handcrafted from pure supplies akin to sedge, rattan, bamboo, wool, and
ceramic.

Exporter Affiliation (Vietcraft) stated that Vietnamese handicraft merchandise have
been obtainable in 163 international locations and territories.
Export income from the merchandise grew about 9.5% per 12 months to
about 2.2 billion USD just lately, making the merchandise one of many 10 product
teams with highest export income of Vietnam.
The US is the most important market of Vietnamese handicraft
merchandise, accounting for 35% of whole export income.
Visiting the nationwide sales space of Vietnam on the exhibition, Ambassador Dang Hoang
Giang, head of the Everlasting Delegation of Vietnam to the United Nations (UN) in
New York stated that he hopes the Vietcraft will proceed to work carefully with
Vietnamese consultant businesses within the US to broaden Vietnamese handicrafts’ market share within the US, contributing to creating jobs and selling
sustainable rural growth of Vietnam.
Vietnam first joined the biannual NY Now exhibition in 2004 as a part of a nationwide commerce promotion
programme held by the Ministry of Business and Commerce./.
