VIENTIANE, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) — Heavy rainfall and flash floods triggered by torrential rains on this monsoon season have affected many areas in Laos.
Villages alongside the Mekong River and its most important tributaries have been just lately warned to be alert for rising water ranges. Earlier this month, river flooding hit 4 northern provinces within the Southeast Asian nation, with roads flooded and water and electrical energy provides lower off in some areas, authorities stated.
Heavy rainfall has additionally affected the capital Vientiane, which is positioned on the banks of the Mekong.
