Many of the Armenians, who have been compelled to depart their houses within the Artsakh city of Berdzor (Lachin) in August, have settled in Armenia, its mayor stated.
Berdzor and its two surrounding villages positioned inside the Lachin hall have been handed over to Azerbaijan in late August.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited the city on Wednesday and made recent threats towards Armenia.
Talking to Panorama.am, Berdzor Mayor Narek Aleksanyan stated many of the displaced residents of the city have been relocated to Syunik Province, including just a few households remained in Artsakh.
“Those that stayed in Artsakh are largely dwelling in resorts now till the housing inventory is prepared. These in Armenia reside in rented homes and have the identical standing because the [Artsakh] residents displaced on December 1, 2020,” he famous.
