ASIA/INDONESIA – The anniversary of the Second Vatican Council commemorated with an interreligious spherical desk
Jakarta (Agenzia Fides) – The sixtieth anniversary of the Second Vatican Council is commemorated in Indonesia with two particular conferences at this time, October 15: one on the School of Philosophy and Theology of the “Sanata Dharma College” and the opposite at St. Paul Main Seminary, each within the metropolis of Yogyakarta, within the diocese of Semarang, on the island of Java. Indonesian Cardinal Ignatius Suharyo Hardjoatmodjo, Archbishop of Jakarta and President of the Episcopal Convention of Indonesia, in view of the sixtieth anniversary of the Second Vatican Council celebrated in Yogyakarta, printed a pastoral message by which he declared: “The celebration of the anniversary of the Second Vatican Council is a chance to deal with a number of the teachings of Pope Francis on the enjoyment of the Gospel, human dignity and local weather change.
