The Funding Board Nepal issued a survey license to India’s NHPC Restricted on Thursday to hold out a research of two giant hydropower tasks with a mixed capability of 1200 MW within the Himalayan nation.
IBN Chief Govt Officer Sushil Bhatta handed over the research licence to Deputy Director of NHPC Ashok Kumar Joshi, in response to an announcement issued by the IBN.
The NHPC utilized on the IBN for buying the research licence for the 750 MW West Seti Reservoir Hydropower Venture and 450 MW Seti River – 6 Hydropower Venture final month.
In line with the settlement, the Indian firm must submit a preliminary report of the survey inside three months to the IBN, whereas it must submit the detailed challenge report (DPR) within the subsequent 21 months.
The Nepal authorities signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NHPC on August 18 for the event of the 2 tasks.
NHPC had already signed an influence buy settlement with Energy Commerce Company India Restricted (PTC), an entity of the Indian authorities, to promote its manufacturing.
Each tasks will value an estimated Nepali rupees 268 billion (USD 2 billion).
