Fifteen specialists from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan accomplished a four-week regional Explosive Ordnance Disposal course (EOD stage 2) on the Regional Explosive Hazards Coaching Centre (REHTC) of Tajikistan’s Ministry of Defence (MOD) in Chimteppa, on 21 October 2022.
The course was hosted by Tajikistan’s MOD and facilitated by the OSCE Programme Workplace in Dushanbe in partnership with the US Military Central (USARCENT). USARCENT and the REHTC’s instructors delivered the coaching course.
The exercise aimed to develop the competencies and improve the {qualifications} of army personnel from Central Asia in detecting and figuring out explosive ordnances and figuring out when they are often safely moved and transported to their last disposal. Different important matters lined within the course have been EOD safeties; EOD recognition; EOD tools; protecting works, and private protecting tools.

One other precedence space for co-operation between the Ministry and the OSCE is the capability improvement and coaching of specialists and instructors within the Regional Explosive Hazards Coaching Middle of Tajikistan’s Ministry of Defence.”
The course will maintain the coaching capability throughout the Ministries of Defence of Central Asia to coach its workers on explosive hazards and operational administration sources. It should enable the Ministries to proceed inside capability improvement and expertise switch of their departments in Central Asia and different OSCE collaborating States, as per nationwide and worldwide requirements.
