New Delhi: The BJP on Sunday gained three seats in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, whereas the RJD retained the Mokama meeting seat within the bypolls to seven Meeting constituencies in six states.
BJP’s Bhavya Bishnoi gained the Adampur Meeting section in Haryana by defeating his nearest rival and Congress candidate Jai Prakash by a margin of round 16,000 votes whereas RJD candidate Neelam Devi gained the Mokama seat by a margin of 16,741 votes.

Other than the win in Adampur bypoll, the BJP retained the Gopalganj Meeting seat in Bihar and Gola Gokarannath Meeting in Uttar Pradesh.
In Gopalganj, BJP candidate Kusum Devi, spouse MLA Subhash Singh whose loss of life had necessitated the by-election, polled 70,032 votes, whereas RJD’s Mohan Gupta received 68,243.
