BEIJING, Nov 17 (Reuters) – French President Emmanuel Macron mentioned on Thursday that France was advancing cooperation with Indonesia on the availability of warplanes and submarines.
He was talking on the Asia Pacific Financial Coordination (APEC) in Bangkok.
In February, Indonesia and France signed a $8.1 billion deal for 42 Rafale fighter jets, as a part of a sequence of agreements that additionally included an order of two Scorpnene submarines, making Jakarta the most important French arms consumer in Southeast Asia.
