Bengaluru Police arrested three college students of New Horizon Faculty of Engineering after a video of them shouting “Pakistan Zindabad” went viral on social media. The scholars, suspended by their faculty authority, have been later launched on bail as police advised NDTV that “their act wasn’t intentional”.
New Horizon Faculty of Engineering was making ready to host an inter-college fest on November 25-26, when some college students have been seen chanting the names of their favorite Indian Premier League (IPL) groups and nations.
Three college students, Aryan, Dinakar and Riya, all aged between 17 and 18 years, have been all of a sudden seen shouting “Pakistan Zindabad”, at the same time as one other scholar made a video recording of the incident.
Police advised NDTV, “the scholars shouted slogans for enjoyable. They’ve been launched on station bail and advised to cooperate with the investigation”.
A case was registered in opposition to the scholars at Marathahalli Police Station for provocation, with an intent to set off riot and generate worry among the many public.
The mother and father of the scholars have been summoned by the faculty administration and advised that that they had been suspended.
Whitefield Deputy Commissioner of Police later stated: “One in every of their very own mates recorded the video. The faculty administration suspended them and lodged a criticism with us. We first arrested them and booked them underneath bailable sections. They have been later launched on station bail. Their act wasn’t intentional.”
