PUTRAJAYA, Nov 19 (Bernama) — Bersatu vice-president Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin who contested on a Perikatan Nasional (PN) ticket within the fifteenth normal election (GE15) gained the Putrajaya parliamentary seat in a six-cornered battle with a majority of two,310 votes.
He obtained 16,002 votes to beat Putrajaya four-term incumbent, Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor of Barisan Nasional (BN) who obtained 13,692 votes.
One other two candidates of the seat have been Dr Noraishah Mydin Abdul Aziz of Pakatan Harapan who obtained 5,988 votes and Datuk Mohd Rosli Ramli (Pejuang) who collected 878 votes.
Two unbiased candidates, Lim Fice Bee garnered 20 votes whereas Samsudin Mohamad Fauzi obtained 63 votes.
The announcement was made by Putrajaya returning officer Shamshul Joehari Zainal Mokhtar on the vote tallying centre in Precinct 9 neighbourhood complicated.
That is the primary win for Radzi, 45, in GE after he was defeated within the Ketereh parliamentary seat in GE14.
Met by reporters after the end result announcement, he stated the win is for all Putrajaya residents and PN equipment who labored onerous throughout GE15.
“Thanks to all voters, and members of PN equipment who labored onerous to make sure this essential mission is completed…it’s a new period for Putrajaya,” he stated.
The Putrajaya parliamentary constituency which is the Federal Authorities Administrative Centre, has 42,881 registered voters.
