- New joint growth settlement builds on Masdar-Turkmenistan MoU for growth of renewable power initiatives
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: Masdar, one of many world’s main renewable power firms, has signed a joint growth settlement (JDA) with Turkmenenergo State Energy Company of the Ministry of Power of Turkmenistan (Turkmenenergo), to develop a 100 megawatt (MWac) photo voltaic photovoltaic (PV) plant, which would be the firm’s first mission in Turkmenistan.
The JDA signing was witnessed by His Excellency Serdar Berdymukhammedov, President of Turkmenistan, and HE Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for International Commerce. The settlement was signed by Masdar Chief Govt Officer Mohammed Jameel Al Ramahi and Deputy Chairman of the Cupboard of Ministers of Turkmenistan HE Charymurat Purchekov at a ceremony held on the UAE-Turkmenistan Enterprise Discussion board in Abu Dhabi. Turkmenenergo is the state authority chargeable for the technology, transmission, and distribution of electrical energy in Turkmenistan.
The settlement builds on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Masdar and the Turkmenistan authorities in October 2021 to discover the event of and funding in photo voltaic and wind energy initiatives in Turkmenistan on a public-private partnership (PPP) foundation.
