Chinese naval vessel sets sail for int’l fleet review in Bangladesh

SANYA, Nov. 26 — With the approval of China’s Central Navy Fee (CMC), the guided missile destroyer Changsha (Hull 173) hooked up to a naval destroyer flotilla beneath the Southern Theater Command of the Chinese language Folks’s Liberation Military (PLA) set sail Friday afternoon for Bangladesh to take part within the Worldwide Fleet Assessment (IFR) on the invitation of the Navy of Bangladesh.

Bangladesh will host actions to commemorate the start centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and have fun the Golden Jubilee of independence of Bangladesh. The PLA Navy will ship a delegation to attend the occasion in Bangladesh early December. The Chinese language naval vessel Changsha, in the meantime, will take part within the IFR.

In recent times, the PLA Navy has dispatched a number of destroyers and frigates to take part within the IFR upon invitation of international navies. On April 23, 2019, the PLA Navy held an IFR for the celebration of its seventieth founding anniversary in waters of the Yellow Sea, 18 naval vessels from 13 international international locations had been invited to take part in that occasion.

The vessel Changsha is a new-type guided missile destroyer developed, designed and manufactured independently by China. It began to serve within the PLA Navy on August 12, 2015.
