Underworld gang chief Kanchipani Imran was launched by the Colombo Justice of the Peace’s Court docket on Tuesday (December 20) after he fulfilled his bail circumstances.
The suspect was barred from travelling abroad, and was launched on a private bail of Rs. 5 Million.
He had been positioned behind bars on remand for threatening a police officer, pursuant to the provisions of the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA).
Nonetheless, the police later rolled again the costs filed underneath the PTA and lodged new fees underneath the Penal Code.
