Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Power has revealed the winners of a photo voltaic tender that was launched in September. The procurement train concerned three photo voltaic initiatives totaling 500 MW within the Namangan, Bukhara, and Khorezm areas.

Abu Dhabi-based developer Masdar secured the challenge within the Bukhara area with a bid of $0.03044/kWh. The 250 MW plant shall be linked to a 62 MW storage facility.

A consortium led by PowerChina secured the 150 MW challenge in Uzbekistan’s Namangan area. The group provided a remaining value of $0.04828/kWh.

French developer Voltalia received the challenge within the Khorezm area with a bid of $0.02888/kWh.

The Uzbek authorities initially chosen 11 bidders for the ultimate section of the tender.
