LONDON, Jan 7 (Reuters) – British overseas minister James Cleverly on Saturday condemned Iran’s execution of two protesters and urged it to “instantly finish the violence towards its personal individuals”.
“The execution of Mohammad Mahdi Karami and Seyed Mohammad Hosseini by the Iranian regime is abhorrent,” Cleverly mentioned on Twitter. “The UK is strongly against the demise penalty in all circumstances.”
Iran hanged the 2 males for allegedly killing a member of the safety forces throughout nationwide protests that began after the demise of 22-year-old Kurdish Iranian lady Mahsa Amini final September.
