Two cops have been dismissed following the assault towards two legal professionals in Yerevan’s Erebuni Police Station earlier in February, lawyer Ara Zohrabyan stated on Tuesday.
The legal professionals, Marzpet Avagyan and Emanuel Ananyan, claimed to have been overwhelmed up by cops throughout a younger suspect’s interrogation on February 10.
“The officers of the Legal Investigation Division on the Erebuni Police Station, Martun Yeghiazaryan and Vahe Papoyan, who had been amongst these beating the legal professionals, have been dismissed,” Zohrabyan wrote on Fb.
“I’m glad that the Inside Ministry has taken a constructive and truthful stance on the case. Lawyer needs to be protected anyplace, particularly in a police station.
