The US on Thursday added three organizations in Myanmar to its commerce blacklist for aiding the junta, together with companies from Russia and China.
The US Commerce Division’s Bureau of Trade and Safety issued 37 sanctions, together with towards 28 organizations from China, 4 from Pakistan, three from Myanmar and one every from Russia, Belarus and Taiwan to its export blacklist.
Myanmar’s Ministry of Transport and Communications and surveillance companies Fisca Safety and Communication Co and Naung Yoe Applied sciences Co Ltd have been focused.
The division stated in a press release that the three organizations from Myanmar supplied surveillance know-how to the regime, enabling it to trace and establish residents and commit rights abuses.
The motion means the organizations face restrictive license functions, evaluations and permission to export.
“We are going to proceed to take steps to finish the regime’s abuses,” US State Division counselor Derek Chollet tweeted on Friday.
In 2021 the US commerce division added the junta’s protection and residential affairs ministries, Myanmar Financial Company and Myanma Financial Holding Restricted to its checklist.
