SC Directs Convicts, Undertrial Prisoners Released During Covid To Surrender Within 15 Days

New Delhi: The Supreme Court docket on Friday directed that every one convicts and undertrial prisoners, who had been launched throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, give up inside 15 days, reported PTI. They had been launched from prisons to decongest and in an try to minimise the Covid an infection within the jails. 

As per a PTI report, a bench of Justices MR Shah and CT Ravikumar stated that undertrial prisoners, who had been launched on emergency bail throughout the pandemic, can transfer for normal bail earlier than competent courts after their give up.
