The Board of Management for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday introduced the annual contract of the Indian males’s cricket workforce for October 2022 to September 2023 season. Gamers have been positioned beneath 4 classes — A+, A, B and C. Gamers positioned within the prime class (A+) will earn Rs 7 crore. Gamers positioned within the grade A class will earn Rs 5 crore yearly. Grade B class gamers will earn Rs 3 crore yearly. A complete of 11 gamers within the grade C class will probably be paid Rs 1 crore by the BCCI.

Ravindra Jadeja, who was earlier in grade A, acquired a good-looking promotion for his heroics in recently-concluded IND vs AUS Checks as he acquired a grade A+ contract from BCCI. Hardik Pandya, who was earlier in grade C, has been given grade A contract for 2022-23 season. Axar Patel has been promoted from grade B to grade A.
‘Underneath-fire’ KL Rahul, after being eliminated as India’s Check vice-captain because of a protracted lean patch within the format, was demoted from grade A to B. World’s no. 1 T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav and gifted teen Shubman Gill have been promoted from grade C to B. Shardul Thakur has been promoted from grade B to C. Ajinkya Rahane and Ishant Sharma, who have been earlier in grade B, have been dropped from the BCCI central contract for 2022-23 season.
