Solar Information Desk : Three individuals have been killed and 5 others injured in a collision between a pickup van and a battery-run van in Jhenaidah on Thursday.

The deceased were- Rafan Islam, 41-day-old son of Robiul Islam, his niece Khuku Moni, 5 and the battery-run van driver Soleman Hossain.
Rafan’s mom Rabia Khatun and grand-mother Sheuli Begum are among the many injured. They had been taken to Jashore Hospital.

Anjali Khatun, relative of the deceased, stated Rafan’s mom and grand-mother had been going to Kotchandpur for a physician’s appointment for him by the battery-run van. When the van reached at Kashipur Faculty intersection, the pickup collided head-on with it, leaving three lifeless on the spot.
Md Moyeen Uddin, Officer-in-charge of Kotchandpur Police Station, stated two kids and the van driver had been killed within the street accident. The pickup van was seized however its driver managed to flee away. No criticism was filed over the matter.
