RIYADH : Soccer legend Lionel Messi is prone to depart Paris Saint-Germain and be part of a Saudi Arabia-based membership, a report has confirmed.
The report comes days after Messi made an “in-famous” journey to the Saudi Arabia final month for which he was handed a suspension by PSG.
“Messi is a executed deal. He’ll play in Saudi Arabia subsequent season,” AFP quoted a supply as saying. “The contract is outstanding. It’s enormous. We’re simply finalising some small particulars,” the supply added.
Messi’s arrival in Saudi follows within the footsteps of his arch-rival Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined Saudi Professional League membership Al Nassr in a large deal in January.
In the meantime, Messi and his World Cup-winning Argentina scored a double by being named Sportsman and Workforce of the Yr on the Laureus World Sports activities Awards.
Messi captained Argentina, scored seven instances and gained the Golden Ball as his nation gained the 2022 World Cup in Qatar in December.
