SINGAPORE: A minibus driver was arrested on Tuesday (Could 9) after he knocked down an aged lady close to Block 36 Chai Chee Avenue. The girl was taken to hospital in an unconscious state.
The police and the Singapore Civil Defence Pressure had been alerted to the incident at 12:25 within the afternoon on Tuesday.
A 68-year-old feminine pedestrian was taken to Changi Normal Hospital in a coma.
The 68-year-old male driver was arrested for reckless driving, inflicting critical harm to others.
Images shared by eyewitnesses on the SG Highway Vigilante – SGRV Fb web page present a minibus bearing the emblem of AWWA, a social service company, parked on the gantry exterior a carpark, with the toll sales space and gantry arm severely broken.
One other photograph reveals a girl who appeared to have been knocked down mendacity on the street, with a number of passers-by holding umbrellas across the injured senior citizen to protect her from the solar.
Police investigations are ongoing.
