Gridlock, taxes and the Maple Leafs: Seven take-aways from the primary debate of the mayoral byelection, Might 10
Whereas all mayoral candidates, to a point, acknowledge the dire want for inexpensive housing, some missed the purpose that we want rent-geared-to-income housing. And so they all ignored the opposite housing disaster — the just about full lack of accessible housing.
Even supposing the Ontario Human Rights Code is meant to take priority over all different legal guidelines and rules, the human rights of seniors and folks with disabilities proceed to be ignored, leaving them homeless or struggling in nonaccessible housing.
Our subsequent mayor should do a lot better.
