A protest in opposition to the arrest of Gayane Hakobyan, the mom of soldier Zhora Martirosyan who was killed within the 2020 Artsakh battle, erupted in Yerevan, Armenia’s capital, late on Saturday afternoon.
The Shengavit District Courtroom of Common Jurisdiction in Yerevan ordered the girl’s arrest for a month after she was accused of making an attempt to “kidnap” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s son, Ashot Pashinyan, on Wednesday.
