The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Elementary and Secondary Training Division on Sunday issued an amended schedule for the summer season holidays in faculties located within the “summer season zone” (plain areas), citing the “abrupt and strange” change within the climate situation.
The event got here a day after over two dozen individuals had been killed and over 100 injured after heavy rains and thunderstorms hit a number of elements of the province.
In line with the notification, all the private and non-private faculties within the zone will stay closed from June 12 to August 31 on account of summer season holidays. The tutorial establishments will reopen on September 1 (Friday)
The division has directed all the faculties to adjust to the amended trip schedule.
As per the provincial catastrophe administration authority, 25 individuals had been killed in rain-related incidents in KP’s Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Karak and Lakki Marwat whereas 145 had been injured on Saturday. It added that not less than 69 homes had been partially broken by the rain.
A Rescue 1122 official had mentioned that every one stations of their Rescue 1122 in KP are on the alert to take care of any untoward incident.
