On Sunday, the Union Ministry of Tradition introduced that the Gandhi Peace Prize for 2021 shall be conferred to the Gorakhpur-based Gita Press for its “excellent contribution in direction of social, financial and political transformation by way of non-violent and different Gandhian strategies”.

Amid the political row over the Gandhi Peace Prize 2021, Union House Minister Amit Shah lauded the Gita Press.
